The location was so rad, perfect for us adventure seekers. We went hiking and biking in the surrounding area and it was an absolute blast. The lake was awesome too, we had so much fun swimming and chilling by the water. It was such a refreshing stop over for us party-loving teenagers. Highly recommend for all you thrill-seekers out there!
The only bummer was that there wasn't a mini fridge in the rooms. We're all about having a good time and sometimes we just wanted to grab a cold drink or snacks without having to bug the owners.

We had a delightful Easter getaway in this idyllic place. The surroundings were simply breathtaking, with a stunning lake and peaceful gardens. Alison and Mark, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and treated us to complimentary wine and beer. The rooms were tastefully decorated, and the bathrooms were well-appointed with luxurious soaps and creams.
To be honest, there was not much to complain about during our time here. If I had to nitpick, I would have preferred a stand-up shower instead of the bathtub in the bathroom.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the jaw-dropping beauty and friendly atmosphere. Mark, Alison, and Jamie were amazing hosts, always going above and beyond. The meals prepared by Alison were mind-blowing, with delicious breakfasts and dinners enjoyed in the lovely outdoor dining area. The lake and grounds were manicured to perfection, creating a stunning backdrop. The rooms were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a well-appointed bathroom. For fishing enthusiasts, this place is a dream come true, with the convenience of being called for meals while enjoying the lake. We can't wait to come back and experience it all again!

As a frequent traveler, I often find myself in need of a convenient place to stay during my transit. The Spruce Lake hotel in Sauviat-sur-Vige proved to be just that. Situated near the Limoges – Bellegarde airport, it offered me the ideal location for a short stay before continuing on my journey. the proximity of Limoges International airport, only 42 km away, provided me with multiple transportation options and allowed for a stress-free travel experience.
While my overall stay was pleasant, I did have one minor issue with the hotel. As someone who prefers stand-up showers over baths, I was disappointed to find that the bathroom in my room only offered a bathtub.

My stay at Spruce Lake was exceptional. Mark and Alison were amazing hosts, making me feel welcomed and at home. The room I stayed in had a lovely view and was beautifully decorated. The property itself was stunning, with manicured gardens and a breathtaking fishing lake. The highlight of my stay was the delicious meal prepared by Alison. The local produce and the 4-course dinner were absolutely superb. The value for money was exceptional! The bathroom was well-appointed and had quality soaps and shower foams. The only minor drawback was that I would have preferred a standup shower instead of a bath. But overall, my experience at Spruce Lake was genuinely beautiful. I'm already planning my next visit, perhaps even to fish in that incredible lake. I highly recommend this hotel.

Cleanliness was spot on. The location by the lake was amazing and we even got some fishing tips from Mark and Jamie. Alison's cooking was absolutely delicious - especially the hazelnut gateaux with raspberries & cream. Such a great value for the money!
